A grand, historical English home set within vast & varied gardens

Highnam Court

This privately owned, historical home is nothing short of spell-binding. A photography and cinematography wonderland where timeless elegance envelops all who walk through the 40 acre grounds of manicured gardens and 50 acres of parkland and pasture. Highnam Court is home to no less than 4 lakes, 5000 rose plants, a Japanese water garden, 2 wisteria arches, some of the most immaculate box hedges in England. An enchanting wild flower meadow is hidden from view of the long, elegant driveway that winds through the estate.

Highnam Court was built in 1658 and is a Grade 1 Listed Building, where in 1916, Sir Hubert Parry composed “Jerusalem” - the unofficial English national anthem inspired by William Blake’s poem. Other points of interest include an orangery, a grand sweeping staircase and a romantic back staircase used by former servants, a library, formal dining room, billiard room and opulent chandeliers throughout.
